In Berlin wird gestreikt. Dieses Mal betrifft es aber nicht die Berufspendler oder den Feierabendverkehr - es geht um die Kinder. Berlins Erzieherinnen streiken und die Kleinsten, die Betreuung und Hilfe brauchen, bleiben auf der Strecke.

Das will die FDP verhindern und bietet unter dem Motto „Die KiTa streikt – Das Leben geht weiter“ am 20. und 21. Mai 2008 eine Kinderbetreuung mit ausgebildeten Erziehern an. Dafür wird die FDP-Bundesgeschäftsstelle in Berlin Mitte zu einer Kindertagesstätte umfunktioniert.

Die Aktion steht unter der Schirmherrschaft von FDP-Generalsekretär Dirk Niebel, selbst Vater von drei Kindern, sowie von Mieke Senftleben, Bundesvorsitzende der Liberalen Frauen und fünffache Mutter. Vätern und Müttern bietet die FDP damit die Möglichkeit an, ihre Kinder auch während des Streiks der Erzieher und Sozialpädagogen in den Berliner KiTa-Eigenbetrieben, in den Schulen und in den bezirklichen Kinder- und Jugendfreizeiteinrichtungen gut betreut zu wissen.

Aufgekommen ist der Streit, als der Unter Berliner Senats es verweigerte, Erzieher besser zu bezahlen und Bildungseinrichtungen besser auszustatten. "Doch dürfen nicht die Berliner Kinder und deren berufstätige Eltern darunter leiden", sagte FDP-Sprecher Robert von Rimscha am Freitag.

Das Angebot ist kostenlos und enthält auch eine Mittagsverpflegung. Der „Thomas-Dehler-Kindergarten“ in der Reinhardtstraße 14 ist am Dienstag und Mittwoch von 8.00 bis 18.00 Uhr geöffnet. Interessenten können sich unter der Telefonnummer 030 / 28 49 580 melden.
